This is the Brain Child of Chris Begley.  A career electrician & electrical contractor.  He is currently owner of ABC Electric Service,  No More Dark.com, and 3 Lakes Solar.  His passion to learn new technologies and share his dream with other interested individuals has led him to "The Big Green Project".  A learning environment for those who are interested in the applications of alternative energy sources as well as planting crops and enhancing the wildlife habitat.  Right here in the Ozark Mountains.

The Plan:  Build a series of structures for storage of implements, food storage, water storage, Fuel storage and a residential home. Some structures will be completely off grid, insulated, with heat.  Some will be grid-tied with the ability to sell electricity back to the White River Valley Electric Coop. All buildings will blend with the surroundings and be located as to have the least impact on the habitat.  Alternative sources to be used will be solar photovoltaics, solar hydronics, wind generation, solar water pumping, and propane. Where possible, solar will heat all water.  Propane will be used as back-up sources only - water heat & generator for battery charging.
